We love being there to capture the moments you want to remember forever.

We grew up in the Hudson Valley in New York and have been best friends since high school. We love photography for its innate ability to share moments we experience with people. Our combination of technical knowledge and artistic creativity allows us to constantly push each other to come up with new and innovative ideas for images. In short, photography has changed the way we see the world and our appreciation for it grows every time we pick up our cameras.

I have always owned some kind of camera for the purpose of documenting, and my desire to document action sports initially prompted my interest in cameras. The technical aspect of cameras drew me into the world of photography, and then I was captivated by the images being captured that depict the beauty of our natural world. Now that I’ve developed more of a critical eye, photography has become a necessary creative outlet for me, and the enjoyment I get from photography only seems to grow. One of my favorite parts of photography is conveying mood in a two dimensional image and representing something special about the subject. I love the subtleties and effects of color with the interplay of light. Sometimes photography gives me an excuse to stand in the middle of a beautiful landscape at times of day or night that would be otherwise perceived as uncomfortable. Sleepless nights, frigid temperatures, and strenuous hikes all seem worth it after enjoying those few moments of beauty.

I picked up my first camera in high school and was enthralled by the simple joy of capturing a moment in time. There is something addictive about creating an image by stealing a moment in time for yourself and whomever else sees it. Back then, I simply pressed the shutter on auto and paid no mind to composition. I just wanted the moment. My love for the outdoors grew as I did, and after I graduated from the University of Vermont it seemed like a beneficial idea to learn the technical side of photography. Calum had recently bought a DSLR and with a great friend as a resource I jumped head first into learning. Discussions with Cal, YouTube tutorials, books, podcasts, and tens of thousands of mediocre photos later, I have learned a lot. I have learned that photography isn't all about photos. It's about the people you that meet, the appreciation of the world around you, and the expression of creativity that I need every day.
